A native born New Yorker, a Veteran of the United States Army, honorably discharged a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grand father and god father of many; brings a wealth of wisdom and experience to all that he sets out to accomplish.
It was discovered in his earlier year as a member of a well-known African dance group, taught by the father of African dance in America, Asadata Dafora; that diligence, years of hard work and tremendous dedication would eventually pay off. As a result, Lorenzo would soar as a leader in the insurance and financial planning industry; become ordained and serve as a Deacon in his local church, become Vice-chairman of the trustee board; as well as serve on the Executive Board as a consultant within his church’s jurisdiction under the auspices of Jurisdictional Bishop for twenty years.
Lorenzo is a proven and dedicated leader and the first male President ever elected to the Day Care Council of New York. He brings to the Welfare Fund Board, Local 205-DC1707, an outstanding career in public service spanning more than three decades. He has effected change in his community by being a mentor and role model for young men and women; by meeting the insurance needs of hundreds of churches and their clergy; and last but not least, by continuing to perpetuate a legacy aimed to support the early childhood development of some fifty thousand children throughout the New York City area both as a member and President of the Day Care Council of New York.
